Duties of Engine Room Crew

• Assist the Engineer officer in performing routine maintenance work and repair to ship machinery equipment

• Lubricate moving parts of engine’s machinery and equipment as instructed

• Operate and maintain pumps and valves under the guidance of engineer

• Clean engine parts and engine room

• Paint engine room

• Assist Engineer for watch keeping

• Monitor Engine and equipment and report abnormalities to ship engineer
