Duties of Engine Room Crew
- Assist the Engineer officer in performing routine maintenance work and repair to ship machinery equipment
- Lubricate moving parts of engine’s machinery and equipment as instructed
- Operate and maintain pumps and valves under the guidance of engineer
- Clean engine parts and engine room
- Paint engine room
- Assist Engineer for watch keeping
- Monitor Engine and equipment and report abnormalities to ship engineer
